The story takes place in the small village of Rochebrune, in the imaginary massif of Hautes Aigues. The village has been on alert since regular landslides have been occurring on the neighboring peaks, linked to climate change... While local actors are wondering about the future of the valley, a mountaineer arrives determined to climb the region's major peak, the Grande Reine, part of which recently collapsed.

We follow in parallel several characters caught in the mountain and confronted with the urgency of the issues that concern it. Everyone will meet at the Vulture refuge, beneath the summit of the Grande Reine. Fanny, the guardian, anxiously scans the cliffs crumbling around her. During this climb, a panorama gradually unfolds of a landscape profoundly disrupted by global warming, and riddled with anxiety.
